Blue plaque celebrating the 40th anniversary of the twinning of Chepstow and Cormeilles. Town Gate, Cormeilles Square, Chepstow. September 2023.

Chepstow/Cas Gwent is a town on the River Wye, in Monmouthshire, Wales, close to the border with England. The blue plaque commemorating the 40th anniversary of the town's twinning with Cormeilles in Normandy depicts the Norman doorway of St Mary's Priory Church, founded in the 11th century for monks from the Benedictine monastery in Cormeilles. The square in which the plaque is located is the Place de Cormeilles, whilst in Cormeilles the Avenue de Chepstow similarly marks the twinning.
