An ancient white marble sculpture by an unknown Italian artist. The statue shows Christopher Columbus standing in a pose of emotional movement of inspiration. The statue represents the navigator, in white stone, while he leans on a roll of hawsers and an anchor, holds his cap in one hand and faces west as when he discovered statue is about 1860,and is visible from the street. It is the only statue of Christopher Columbus present in Lombardy.
