The Fireworship Festival of the Axi Yi in Hongwan Village is one of Yunnans wildest events. This image shows a group of revellers covered in body paint dancing around a fire. The village has become well known by Chinese tourists for the raucuous carnival held there at the beginning of the second lunar month.
