Thorax about twice as long as the cephalic shield, and exclusive of the produced extremities of the pleurse, a little longer than wide ; consisting of eight segments;. middle lobe strongly convex; lateral Jobes depressed; pleurse terminating in rather long mucronate spines directed outward and backward, posterior ones a little longer, and directed more nearly backward. Pygidium small, axis short, sides flat, except a ridge that extends obliquely backward and outward from the anterior segment of the mesial lobe across each, and terminates in a prominent, rounded, diverg. ing spine. Between these two projecting spines the specimen shows no spines, though it may have had four minute ones of about equal size. There are apparently two mmute spines on each side of these projecting spines. Length of specimen, exclusive of spines, inch; breadth, inch; breadth between the eyes, mch. The specific name is given in honor of the collector, J. Kelly O'lSTeall, of Lebanon, Ohio, who found it in the upper part of the Cmcinuat Group, near Lebanon. EDITORIAL MISCELLANY.
