To be exact, every line of business in this city seems dull. Quite naturally a re- action follows on everything, including flowers that can be classed as luxu- ries. The election, which will take place before these notes are in print, may settle some matters that are now doubtful, and as the "florists are a hopeful lot," we are expecting better business in the near future. It may here be stated that a large number of people in this country and city are unduly excited about the war in Eu- rope. All must agree that it is a de- plorable affair, but we did not start it and have nothing to do with it.
