This piece of water terminatedin a beautiful cafcade ; but the pond-Ticad blowing up, therapidity of tha torrent did fuch damage to the bridge, thatthe whole W£s obliged to be taken down, and rebuilt withfive a-ches to it. Haifa mile from this bridge is the Chi-neft iiland, fo named-from the building on it, after the Chi-refe manner; and near this pond is a beautiful grotto.
