Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin (Loch Benevean) is a reservoir east of Loch Affric. It is part of the Affric-Beauly Hydro Electric scheme receiving water from Loch Mullardoch via a tunnel. There is a dam at the eastern end and water is used at the Fasnakyle power station near Cannich. The Corrimony windfarm has five turbines and is owned by local landowners in nearby Glen Urquhart. The local community receives some income from the power generated from the turbines ("community benefit").
