Uropod, outer ramus longer than peduncle. Up to 6 x 2-5 mm., or slightly larger, up to 8 x 4 mm. Slaty-grey, mottled with paler on head and peraeon, usually a pale lateral mark on each peraeon segment (where the epimera join the segments), each pleon segment with 2 small pale dots, often faint or absent, but when present the two series converge posteriorly, antennae grey, legs more or less suffused, eyes black. Occasionally the peraeon is predominantly yellowish with 3 longitudinal dark stripes. Localities.—Cape Province : Cape Town (Dollfus) ; Simonstown (Budde-Lund) ; Cape Peninsula generally (W. F. P., E. M. L., ); Eiebeck Kasteel (); Gouda (); Citrusdal.
