A rather large percentage ofthe farmers annual income is spent for machinery to dofarm work. Much of this machinery is replaced severalyears before its real life would justify. In such cases poorcare, lack of adjustment, or replacement of parts is invari-ably the cause. Too many farmers have for their machineshed the open heavens. Sometimes a machine is thrownaway and a new one is purchased, when by replacing a fewof the worn parts the machine might be made as good as new.
