051025-N-4565G-004 Atlantic Ocean (Oct. 25, 2005) - A Sailor assigned to the Air Department, V-2 Division, pulls the station hook and wire to attach it to the emergency-landing barricade net on the flight deck during a training drill aboard the conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67). In emergency situations, the barricade is stretched across the carrier deck to stop aircraft unable to return safely aboard, or to available sites ashore.
