Two closely allied species belong to this group ; they arpextremely variable in colour and markings, and have a verywide range in both Southern Europe and Asia. The underside,except in the middle, is clothed with not very thick pubescence,which is also present on the gense; the clypeus is scantilypubescent, and the sides of the thorax are furnished with whitesetae.
