The plant is leafless, a star-lish-like radia- tion of fleshy roots f rom a centralpoint, from which issues the flower-spike, bearing one or two beautiful and fan- tastically-s h a p e d white flowers, one or two inches in diameter. $ to $5 each, r D. funalis. A new Jamaican sort; very odd. $ ea. EPIDENDEUM bidenta- tum. Key Largo. Bulbs flattened; flowers purple. 50 cents each. E. cochleatam. Guate- mala, West Indies, South Florida (rarely). The first Orchid introduced into cultivatio n . Flowers purple and yellowish green. 35 cents each. E. fragrans. Jamaica. 'Flowers greenish white, lip striped with red. Fra grant.' A really good Orchid of easy culture. The rich scent is very delightful. We have imported a large quantity of this and offer fine plants from 40 cents to $ each. E. noctarnnm (E. odoratissimum). Central America, and rarely in the Palm Hammock of Florida. Stem one foot to eighteen inches in height. Flowers white, not very showy, but most exquisitely fragrant at night. $ each. E. venosam. South Florida. For those who wish a beautiful and cheap Orchid that will stand a low temperature and much neglect, this species can be highly recommended. In the first place, it is very rare in cultivation, the Orchid collectors of America often prefer- ring to send to Australia and the ' Isles of the Sea' for Orchids much less beautiful than to look at
