A protester rushes to throw a tear gas canister back towards the police during the unrests in Hong Kong continue as protesters moved to shut down the Asian financial hub with a general strike on Monday after a ninth straight weekend of anti-government protests. The general strike has causes the public transportation systems offering only limited services due to staff shortages. Hundreds of flights flying in and out of the Hong Kong international airport all had been cancelled as numbers of air traffic control staff were on strike.
