This rookery, East, and Zapadnie are the only ones on St. Georgewhich have, thus far, been landed upon and raided by seal attempts have been made here, but only one at Zapadnie. Thedamage done was insignificant, since the marauders were detectedbefore they had fairly got to work, and driven off by the natives andofficers of the Government.
