The Sweet or Sugar Varieties, being liable to rot in cold or wet ground, should not be planted before May or until ground has be- come warm; for succession continue planting every two weeks until the middle of July in rich, well-manured ground, in hills 3 feet apart each way, covering about V-i mch and thin out to 3 plants to a hill. The extra early varieties can be planted 18 ins. in a row and tV'i feet between rows. Extra Early Varieties Golden Bantam. One of the sweetest corns grown. It is a dwarf, me- dium early variety of ex- ceptionally good quality. In all respects it is a gemâin size of plant, ear and grain.
