GABRIEL. 323 THE REV. WILLIAM H. CLOWRY, PASTOR OF ST. GABRIELS CHURCH. TIILS worthy priest, who has so long enjoyed theconfidence of his ecclesiastical superiors and theattachment of the llock confided to his care, was born inthe Coirnty Carlow, Ireland, in the year 1822, and waseducated at C.^arlow College, from which he passed to thecelebrated seminary of the Irish clergy at Maynooth. Having become connected with the Diocese of NewYork, he was assistant to the Rev. Dr. J. W. Cummings atSt. Stephens Chmch from the year 1857 till he began hislabors in St. Gabriels parish, two years later.
