NORFOLK, VA (MAR. 27 2017) Chief Mass Communication Specialist Molly Burgess and Chief Master-At-Arms Adam Dickson, assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), serve smoothies at the Naval Station Norfolk Base Galley as part of celebration events marking the birthday of the chief petty officer community. The Navy created the rank of chief petty officer 124 years ago on April 1, 1893.
