Ballater, Royal Deeside, in April 2016, nearly 4 months after the devastating flood on Much progress has been made, but there is still much to do. Many businesses were flooded, and most are still awaiting finalization of flood damage repairs; flooring and understructures are still drying out. In addition, over 400 houses were flooded, and most residents are still unable to live in their homes until repairs can be finalized. Ballater golf course was badly affected, At the time the photo was taken, debris had been removed and damage repaired sufficiently for 9 holes of the course to be playable, but much work is still to be done.
