A model 1909 officer's shashqa with applied Order of Saint Anne,awarded for Bravery. Single-edged blade(shortened)with fullers on both sides and later nickel-plating. The ricasso bears the maker's mark "F. Fichte,Solingen" . The Cyrillic inscription "For Bravery" is engraved on both sides of the knuckle-bow. Brass hilt bearing the cipher "N II" and applied enamelled Order of St. Anne. Replacement wooden grip and leather-covered wooden scabbard with brass mountings.
