The exhibition was divided into eleven departments, namely,a reading room, an alchemistic laboratory, Liebigs laboratory,exhibits of general and inorganic chemistry, , electrochemistry, organic chemistry, dyeing labora-tory, and physiological chemistry. The electrochemical department was specially interestingfor a great many inslrunients exhibited, among them the his-. I \lin;lT III- HKKnlli torical apparatus by which Kohlrausch made his classical re-searches on conductivities of solutions: various apparatus ofOstwald : a complete arrangement of working desks with in-struments, for electrochemical researches, the arrange-ment being the same as in the electrochemical laboratory of theUniversity of Goettingen: apparatus of Classen for quantita-tive analysis for electrolysis: and apparatus of the VereinigleFabriken fiir Laboratoriumsbedarf ( New York branch. Lab-oratory and School Supply Co.) for demonstrating electro-chemical processes and laws. There was also exhibited a Siemens & Halske ozone appa-ratus, while the Hofman Haus in Berlin. Prof. Ost and had contributed a collection of electrochemical products.
