PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 1, 2011) The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Asagiri-class destroyer Asagiri (DD 3516), the Kashima-class training squadron ship Kashima (TV 3508) and the Hatsuyuki-class destroyer Mineyuki (DD 124) participate in a formation exercise with the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Abraham Lincoln is underway conducting a composite training unit exercise.
