The ModelSenate is one of the very best organizations for parliamentary drill, and we hope to seeit ever remain a leading feature of our society work. The spirit of party politics lias not run so high this year as it has in years past. Webelieve this to be a good thing. While it is necessary for the best results to have twoparties, and to have some rivalry between the contending factions, yet party spirit hasoften made enemies. Because you are a Liberal and some one else is a Ciceronian, is noreason that some one else is not just as good a man as you. As usual the Liberal party succeeded in getting the first election of the year, andheld dominion during the entire fall term. But during the winter term the Ciceronianswere able to defeat their wily opponents, and have had things pretty well their own wayever since.
