Afterhaving worn your artificial legs with the rubber feet for more than twenty-threeyears, I have no hesitation in saying it is the best leg in use ; it is simple and themost durable of any of the many that I have seen. I would not use any other. No. 1213. as long as I can get the rubber foot with stiff ankle ; it never drags at the toefrom weight of mud or other matter. It is so simple a child can adjust it. I can heartily recommend the rubber foot as the most durable and easy tohandle, and to any unfortunate one in need of such appliance, I would say byall means wear the rubber foot. I have worn artificial legs since 1862, and doall kinds of work. I am a blacksmith, and shoe horses. I have dug wells and quarried stone,and other heavy work. I can walk farther in a given time than any man canon any other kind of a leg with the same length of stump as mine ; it is onlythree inches from center of hip joint. Yours, etc., E. Lincoln.
