Vertical garden or living wall at the Dussman Das Kulturkaufhaus in Berlin, Gemany. This installation was designed by the French botanist Patrick Blanc (born 1953). He has designed many such walls worldwide with this one being completed in 2012. It consists of 6000 tropical plants, with a pool at the base collecting the water that continuously trickles down the wall, irrigating the plants. This water is recycled, filtered and pumped back up to the top of the wall. Photographed in 2014.
