The Martial Eagle (Polemaetus bellicosus) is one of the largest eagles found in sub Saharan Africa. It is commonly found in areas of open savannah and semi-desert. The average adult grows to 76–96 cm (30–38 in) in length, weighs – kg (–14 lb) and has a wingspan of 188–227 cm (– ft).
