c14 dating suggests this yew at the NW corner of Corwen churchyard, Wrexham, Wales, UK, is as old as the first stone church built here by 1200. In the C18th, the ring of churchyard yews was considered by Thomas Pennant to be one of the Seven Wonders of Wales. The venerable gnarled & hollow yew is supported by a chain crown brace & softwood props.
