A series of sagittal sections through the cerebellum of an adult Notoryctes typhlops, stained with lithium-carmine, drawn with the Edingee-Leitz projection apparatus. X ?• tapering lateral extremity of the posterior lobe and the ventrolateral part of the posterior surface of the middle lobe are prolonged laterally into direct continuity with the lobus flocculi, which is a small irregular appendage (with only a very shallow furrow indicative of its sub- division into flocculus and paraflocculus) wrapped around the middle peduncle at its entrance into the cerebellum (Fig. 13). The exact relationship of the floccular lobes to the rest of the cerebellum can be properly appreciated only by means of the study of a complete series of sagittal sections. I have made such a series.
