Execution by hanging. Artwork of the crowd gathered to watch the execution by hanging of convicted burglars George Webb and Richard Russell on 19 August 1805. This took place at Shooter's Hill in what is now south-east London, UK. This artwork was published in an account of their trial, held as part of the Kent Summer Assizes in Maidstone in 1805.
