There are many footpaths in the area, many of which are well signed, but choose the correct gear . People have become lost on the moors when the cloud level has descended and reduced visibility. This image is also on a water catchment area which supplies Liverpool with drinking water, with the remains of many farms still visible from when the land was cleared.
