Ndutu is located in the middle of the Serengeti plain, at the head of Olduvai Gorge. The area is known for its lion and cheetah populations. It is part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, bordering Serengeti National Park. Two small lake are set in beautiful acacia woodland with the backdrop of the Ngorongoro Crater highlands.
