JUICE mission launch


Arianne 5 rocket carrying the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) spacecraft launching from Europe's Spaceport, French Guiana, on 14th April 2023. It will take the spacecraft eight years to reach Jupiter. The spacecraft is furnished with a laboratory of instruments that will investigate Jupiter's turbulent atmosphere and vast magnetosphere, as well as study the planet-sized icy moons Ganymede, Europa and Callisto and assess their potential for harbouring past or present life.
