A sculpture of four Tasmanian tigers in Civic Square in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. The Tasmanian tiger, Thylacinus cynocephalus is now extinct. The last known creature died in 1936 at Hobart zoo in Tasmania. These creatures were driven to extinction by early European farmers who saw them as a threat to their livestock ,and hunters hunted them and destroyed its habitat.
