Visitors walk through hundreds of concrete slabs or "stelae" part of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe or "Holocaust Memorial" located south of the Brandenburg Gate. Holocaust Memorial was designed by American architect Peter Eisenman occupying an area of 19,000-square-metre covered by 2711 concrete slabs or "stelae".
