North Shore Cliffs, on the shoreline side of Queen's Promenade, have been the location of colourful tableaux displays since 1932. The shot looks south towards the Queen and Crowns Tableau, celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Swan Lake, Green Machine, and Totem Tastic Tableaux lie beyond. Dalek Mania is seen in the background. The green lights on Queen's Promenade, left of shot, mark a collection point where passing motorists may volunteer a contribution towards the running costs of the Illuminations, hence the sign 'Lit By You'.
