Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland, c1985-c2000. Reconstruction line drawing of a traveller and his horse being assessed by Roman soldiers on the southern side of Knag Burn Gateway. The gateway was one of the few gates through Hadrians Wall unattached to a milecastle or fort.
