A Burmese presentation dha, dated 1931 Slightly curved, single-edged blade with a double-edged point and shallow fullers on both sides. Rich silver inlays with inscriptions and figures amid leafy vines. The ivory grip with hammered and chased silver mountings. The scabbard of sheet silver with elaborately hammered, partially sculptured figures. At the base, a cartouche bearing the dedication "Presented to Capt. Hodkinson by his Excellency Sir Joseph Maung Gyi Kt, January 1931". Two suspension rings with silk cord attached. Length 95 cm. hist, Additional-Rights-Clearance-Info-Not-Available
