Bomb damaged nave of the Royal Garrison Church, Old Portsmouth Founded in 1212 it served as a hostel for the sick and elderly and for pilgrims It has been a church for the Forces since 1580. In the 19th century refurbishment and repairs were started, finishing in 1871. In 1933 it was in the charge of the Office of Works A firebomb raid 1941 destroyed the nave.
