A B-24 Liberator nicknamed "Bombers Moon" of the 489th Bombardment Group releases bombs over Mannheim, Germany, Oct. 3, 1944. The 489th BG provided support during the Invasion of Normandy in World War II, and continued their mission by bombing key targets in Germany.
