Retired Army Brig. Gen. Maureen Weigl, Deputy Adjutant General for Veterans Affairs, addresses the audience during a Female Veterans Day ceremony at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, Pa. March 31, 2022. The ceremony was hosted by the Pennsylvania Commission for Women and honored 21 female veterans from across the commonwealth for their service and deeds to the state in celebration of Women’s History Month. Weigl herself served in the Pa. Army National Guard for some time during her 25-year military career and personally thanked each honoree for their service during her remarks.
