The city of Ahvaz, Iran, reached a maximum temperature of °C on June 29, 2017, despite the fact that there are data that suggest that it exceeded 54°C. Either way, it broke an absolute temperature record. The global temperature of the Earth is getting warmer. Since the end of the 19th century, the average temperature has increased by degrees Celsius. This is a symptom of the impact of human activities on our planet, especially greenhouse gas emissions. A total of 49 countries, in addition to the European Union, have promised to achieve a goal of zero emissions. This includes more than half of greenhouse gas emissions, more than half of the world's GDP and one-third of the world's population. There are eleven purposes enshrined by law, covering 12% of global emissions. Even so, many of the actions that are to be carried out have been postponed beyond 2030, which casts doubt on whether these emission neutrality commitments can be obtained.
