Detective Conan museum. Hokuei (Daiei). Tottori. Japan
A museum dedicated to the work of manga author Aoyama Gosho in the town of Hokuei in Shimane prefecture. Aoyama, the creator of Meitantei Conan (released in North America as "Case Closed"), was born in the town of Daiei. The town was combined with other towns in the area in 2005 to form what is now Hokuei. The construction and operation of the museum is part of a town revitalization project to increase visitors to the area. The Aoyama Gosho Furusato Museum will showcase Aoyama's life in Daiei along with his many works. Exhibits will mainly focus on Yaiba and Meitantei Conan. The museum will also feature a Gift Shop and Cafeteria. The town of Hokuei aims to have over 130,000 people visit the museum every year.
