This carriage is a first class parlour car, seats 26 people and has ash panelling and old prints on its interior walls. Perseus was partially built in 1938 by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company, but not completed until after WWII in 1951. During the Festival of Britain it was reserved for use by royalty and visiting heads of state, and was used in Winston Churchill's funeral train in 1965.
