The upper route connecting at Singac with thePublic Service System will also have a good all-the-yearbusiness in transporting the large numbers of workers em-ployed at the mines, iron furnaces and mills in this territory. At present only 11 miles of single track are in operation, but an excellent traffic has already been developed on thisstill isolated part of the system which serves Rockaway,Wharton, Dover, Mine Hill and Kenvil. Four cars areoperated on these lines at intervals of thirty minutes. The 2^-mile extension from Kenvil through Suc-casunna toward Ledgewood which was opened about cars, as the former go north at 10:2i a. m. and 7:23 p. m.,returning from Dover at 6:29 a. m., 4:10 p. m. and 5:30p. m., making the run in from eighteen to twenty-threeminutes, or about the same as the electric cars. Succa-sunna and Kenvil had the advantage of six trains on theChester Branch of the Delaware, Lackawanna & WesternRailroad, also, but as they were run only at wide intervals, and neither very early nor very late, there was but littleadditional inducement for travel.
