Proboscis fully developecl ; palpi obliquely upturned, the 2nd joint reaching to vertex of head and very broadly sealed, the 3rd minute, porrect; frons smooth, with large tuft of hair ; eyes large, round ; antennje of male simple and somewhat laminate; thorax clothed with hair and hair-like scales, and without crests; fore tibite slightly fringed with hair; all the tibite strongly spined ; abdomen dorsally clothed with rough hair, especially towards base, but without crests. Fore wing with tlio costa highly arched towards apex which is produced to a long blunt point, the termen very obliquely curbed continuously with the highly arched inner margin, the basal half of inner area clothed with rough hair; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; f) from upper an»le ; 9 from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form a rather long areoie; 11 from cell. Hind wing with the cell about one-third length of wing; vein 3 from before angle of cell; 6 fully developed from just above angle ; 6, 7 from ujjper ano-le; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. 7496.
