Secular mosaic floor similar to the one of early Christian Baptistery found in Amfissa city in Fokida region, Central Greece

Under the Fortress of Amfissa, in the former residence of Simos Mprougiannakis, a mosaic floor was revealed similar to the mosaic of early Christian Baptistery. It has 2 m high walls and a rectangle room, whose southern narrow side ends in an arch. The decoration is similar to that of the circular room of baptistery. The building was bought by the archaeological service, was demolished and in its place a shelter was built to protect the building and the mosaic. Both mosaics were created by the same artist, who lives and works in Amfissa.
