The Yellow-billed Babbler Turdoides affinis is a common resident breeding bird in Sri Lanka and southern India.


English synonyms: White-billed Babbler, White-headed Babbler, Yellow billed Babbler, Yellow-billed Chatterer; The main distinguishing feature between the Yellow-billed and Jungle Babblers is the colour of the plumage. Yellow-billed Babblers have a lighter plumage and creamy white crown, the Jungle Babblers have a dull earth-brown plumage. Also the colour of the eyes are different. The Yellow-billed Babblers have blue eyes and the Jungle Babblers white ones .
