Dunmow Essex Uk. Flitch trials. This event goes back to Anglo Saxon times and is held every 4 years. Married couples appear before a mock court to show that they have never quarreled. Succesful couples are awarded a flitch of bacon. Mr Mr Dave Monk a presenter on Radio Essex who acted as the the judge. Mr Monk started his career as a solicitor. Here he is in the flitch court
