A Corbett is a Scottish Mountain between 2500ft (762m) and 3000ft (914m) with a drop of at least 500ft () of which they are 220 and take there name from John Rooke Corbett who first classified them. Heather or Ling (Calluna vulgaris) is a plant that turns moors and heaths purple between June and September and is also found in bogs and open woods.
