We, too, were shoreward bound, thoughon a longer voyage. The cold beam wind drove us on, andwhen the western sky was rosy wdth the sunset, we roundedthe bold red-sandstone promontory, soon to wade ashore andwith happy talk of the successful days excursion, encum-bered with big boots and cameras, trudge to the fisherscottage up on the wind-sw^ept headland of the cold Northernisle, with its bare slopes and stunted NEST ANU EGGS OK RING-NECKED PLOVER
