Proboscis minute; palpi porrect to just beyond frontal tuft and fringed with long hair below; frons smooth; eyes large, rounded; antenna' of male typioally bipectinate with long branches to ajjex, of female ciliated : head and tliorax elotlied with hair and hair-like scales, the pro- and metathorax with spreading crests; pectus and legs elotlied wiih long hair; abdomen witii some rough hair at base and lateral fringes ol' hair but without crests. Fore wing with tlie apes rounded, the ternien obliquely curved and somewhat crenulate; veins 'A and o from near angle of cell; li from upper angle; '.• from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole; 11 from cell. Hind wing witli veins 3, 4 from angle ot cell; 5 obsolescent from middle of discocellulars ; 6, 7 from upper angle; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. Sect. T.
